Hyperopia

Hyperopia is a refractive error in which, when the eye is at rest, light tends to be focused behind the retina. It does not only affect near vision: in more severe cases, vision may be strained or blurred at various distances.

The role of accommodation

Young people can partly compensate for the Hyperopia by using theaccommodation. For this reason, the condition may not be immediately apparent or may manifest itself differently from person to person. However, the presence of eye strain does not in itself constitute a diagnosis: assessment and prescription are the responsibility of an ophthalmologist.

How is it offset?

Positive lenses bring the focus back to the intended position. The lens can be single-vision or, where presbyopia is present, progressive or designed specifically for near vision. The prescription remains the starting point; the geometry, material and frame determine the final technical design.

The Isolani technical project

The position of the lens in front of the eye affects the actual performance, particularly with high prescriptions and customised geometries. The Behavioural Centring takes into account measurements, posture and how the frames are worn. For progressive and office lenses, the Simulation Room It also allows you to try out the different viewing areas before making a purchase.
