Isolani Experience™: the approach that makes an Isolani Opticians unique
A career path that transforms analysis, technology and listening into a tangible vision
The Isolani Experience™ is at the heart of the Isolani method: a comprehensive, professional and personalised eye care programme that begins by understanding a person’s daily visual habits and is delivered through advanced technologies, optical and optometric expertise, and an ongoing relationship with the individual.
It’s not a service, it’s not a procedure, it’s not just an eye test: it’s a structured approach which guides every stage of the vision assessment process, from the initial consultation to lens design, from testing in real-world conditions to the final check. To understand the broader context, the following article is also available “Why choose an Isolani Opticians”.
Why the Isolani Experience™ is different from any other optician’s
Everyone uses their eyesight differently: posture, working distance, head movements, use of digital devices, and aesthetic and functional requirements. The Isolani Experience™ stems precisely from this: from the desire to design optical solutions that take real-life visual behaviour into account.
The method combines analysis, technology, design and testing, with a clear objective: to provide natural, precise and comfortable vision in every situation.
The key concepts of the method
Optometric eye test — Assess the quality of vision, refractive errors and how the eyes work together during everyday activities.
Behavioural alignment — It measures the person’s actual characteristics: posture, reading distance, natural head tilt and the way they use their eyes.
Simulation Room — It allows you to test the performance of the lenses under realistic conditions before the glasses are made, checking for comfort, clarity and visual stability.
Final fitting of the glasses — This is the stage at which the wearer begins to use their bespoke spectacles. Thanks to the consistency between actual measurements, centring and simulation, the adjustment feels natural and gradual, with vision stabilising spontaneously during everyday activities.
The stages of the Isolani Experience™
1. Optometric and functional eye examination
A comprehensive assessment that analyses visual acuity, accommodation, convergence, visual postural alignment and daily habits. It is the starting point for understanding how a person actually uses their vision and for designing bespoke glasses e eyeglass lenses in line with actual needs.
2. Behavioural Alignment
Centration is not detected statically, but by observing actual behaviour: working distance, posture, eye movements and direction of gaze. This stage, which is also described on the page dedicated to Behavioural Alignment, is essential for designing truly bespoke lenses.
3. Simulation Room
In the Simulation Room It is possible to try out the lenses in real-life conditions before they are finally produced. This allows you to assess comfort, clarity, contrast and depth perception, thereby reducing the risk of difficulties in adapting to them.
4. Design of bespoke lenses and frames
Each solution is designed to address ametropia, aesthetic and functional requirements, and everyday activities. The frames and lenses are selected and calibrated to work together, as described in the process Bespoke glasses.
5. Final inspection and ongoing support
The process concludes with a check of the visual result and the fitting, backed by the Total Functionality Guarantee and the MINI‑KASKO insurance policy to protect the glasses. Continuity is also ensured by services such as Home Optician and from the Isolani online shop.
An approach that stands the test of time
The Isolani Experience™ does not end with the handover of your glasses: it continues with regular check-ups, updates to your vision solutions and dedicated services. These include the Advanced Contact Lens Practice This is a specific area of concern for contact lens wearers.
It is a journey that supports the individual over time, adapting to changes in their eyesight and daily routines.
The trail designed for young children is described in our Back to School 2026: Eyewear, School and Children’s Eyesight, with practical advice on frames, fitting, digital habits and aftercare before you return home.
