EYEGLASS CARE AND CLEANING

As with any quality product, proper care will improve and prolong the life of your glasses, so remember to:

  1. always put your glasses back in their case;
  2. always place the glasses with the lenses facing upwards;
  3. carry out proper cleaning.

For optimal performance, wash your glasses daily with lukewarm water (never hot). If necessary, wash the surface of each lens with a neutral liquid detergent. Dab with a clean, soft, absorbent cloth to remove excess water, then finish by wiping with the cleaning cloth provided. Do not clean the lenses with paper products or fabrics. Do not use abrasive detergents, soaps or cleaning agents that may leave deposits on the lenses. Do not use fabrics with added lotions, lanolin, silicone or other cleaning agents as they will leave a film on the lenses.

A cleaning cloth is included with every purchase. A clean cloth is ideal for cleaning your glasses and removing any smudges. We recommend washing the cloth frequently to keep it free of dust, dirt and oils that could damage the lenses. Wash with warm water and soap, but do not use fabric softener, as this may leave a film on the lenses.

Excessive heat or sudden temperature changes can damage the lenses or warp the frame. Do not place your glasses where excessive heat is expected, such as on the dashboard of your car, and take care when opening the oven or lids of hot pots.

Proper cleaning helps minimise scratches. Remove dirt and other particles with proper cleaning and always keep your glasses in their case when not in use.

Some commonly used chemicals react negatively with the frame material and metal oxides used on lens coatings. Therefore, avoid contact with acetone, caustic solutions, hair sprays containing methylene, chlorine or glue.

Hard water and salt water can be harmful to glasses, as they leave white spots on the lenses once dry, with the risk of damaging the lens surface treatments. To avoid damage, simply rinse your sunglasses or prescription glasses with filtered water (from the tap) and dry them with a clean cloth as described above.

We recommend visiting our centres at least twice a year (e.g. in March, at the end of the cold season, and in September, at the end of the hot season), where our expert technicians will tighten the screws on the lens holders and arms and carry out an anatomical and functional check of your glasses.

From the moment of delivery, our relationship of trust BEGINS through constant and timely assistance over time, through the MINI-KASKO at no cost.
