OPHTHALMIC LENSES

Global technology and local expertise: this is how Isolani turns innovation into reality.

Ophthalmic lenses are not offered as a standalone product, but are selected and integrated into a visual care programme tailored to the individual’s needs. Every optical choice is based on a professional approach that combines analysis, design and verification, ensuring consistency and quality over time.

Why lens quality is essential

80 per cent of the information we receive is visual, and around 40 per cent of our brain’s activity is devoted to vision. This is why we believe it is essential to wear lenses of the very highest quality, designed to offer precision, stability and comfort in all conditions.

Quality is not just about the material or the surface treatment, but the entire process: from optical design to ensuring consistency with actual visual behaviour, right through to centring and final inspection.

International partners, local approach

To ensure technologically advanced, reliable and long-lasting optical solutions, Isolani works exclusively with world-class ophthalmic partners, selected for their quality, research and manufacturing standards.

The value of the local area, on the other hand, is reflected in the Isolani process: in consultancy, visual design, fitting, workshop work and day-to-day support, all of which are carried out entirely within our centres.

The same prescription does not mean the same lens

Two lenses can have the same prescription yet offer different visual experiences. They change the geometry, the size and stability of the useful zones, distance management, materials, treatments and customisation options. This applies to single-vision, office and progressive lenses: the prescription is the starting point, but it does not, on its own, describe the entire optical design.

A lens design from a previous generation may meet basic requirements and be cheaper, but it is not automatically equivalent to a more recent design. At Isolani Optical Centres, we select each lens based on the prescription, intended use, frame and centring parameters.

When it comes to price, too, we prefer to compare complete solutions. In many cases, switching to a more up-to-date design may cost just a few tens of euros; the exact amount depends on the prescription, materials, treatments and customisation. We explain each item in the quotation, so that the final price is consistent with what will actually be produced.

Progressive lenses tailored to the individual

Progressive lenses realise their full potential when they are custom-designed for the individual and integrated into a comprehensive visual care programme. The quality of the materials and technology is crucial, but it is their alignment with actual visual behaviour that determines comfort, stability and naturalness.

This is why Isolani incorporates progressive lenses into a professional approach that includes an analysis of visual habits, behavioural centring and testing in the Simulation Room. Only in this way is it possible to achieve a truly personalised result that remains consistent over time.

Quality that blends into the visual landscape

The lenses are selected according to the individual’s needs and incorporated into the Isolani vision programme, which includes:

The process is completed with the final fitting of the spectacles, a personalised adjustment that ensures harmony between the frame, the lenses and visual performance, guaranteeing comfort and a natural feel in everyday life. Find out more about bespoke glasses

What does ‘quality’ mean in an ophthalmic lens?

For Isolani, quality means clarity, visual stability and comfort throughout the day. We work with international partners who invest in research and advanced materials, integrating each lens into a professional process that includes design, centring and final inspection. Quality is not just about the material, but about the consistency of the entire process.

How we choose lenses for you

Choosing lenses is never a matter of course. We assess your visual needs, daily habits, your chosen frame and the centring parameters measured at our optical centres. Each lens is selected to ensure quality, comfort and consistency over time, forming part of the Isolani vision experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the proposed solutions cater for a range of needs and budgets?

Yes. The Isolani range offers solutions to suit a variety of needs and price points, whilst consistently maintaining a high standard of quality. Even the most affordable options feature lenses selected by international partners and integrated into the Isolani Experience™ method, which guarantees consistency, comfort and long-term reliability. Are the lenses included in the packs of the same quality as the other options?

Yes. All the lenses offered by Isolani, even in the most affordable packages, are sourced from international ophthalmic partners selected for their quality, research and manufacturing standards. The difference between the various options lies in the level of customisation and the technologies available, not in the basic quality.

Do progressive lenses require a specific fitting process?

Yes. Progressive lenses benefit particularly from the Isolani Experience™ method, which includes an analysis of visual habits, behavioural centring, testing in the Simulation Room and final fitting of the spectacles. This process, applied with the same care to every pair of Isolani spectacles, enables progressive lenses to deliver a more natural, stable and consistent performance over time.
