An Isolani professional will take care of your vision needs in the comfort of your own home, with the same care, precision and attention to detail that we provide in-store.
This service is designed for people with mobility difficulties, temporary limitations, family commitments or circumstances that make getting around difficult.
What we can do at home
The optician’s home visit service enables us to provide a streamlined yet comprehensive service, designed to ensure continuity of care even for those who are unable to visit our optical centres.
We use specialised portable equipment for optical and optometric assessments, which enables us to carry out thorough checks and technical procedures directly in patients’ homes.
The services available include:
- optical and optometric examination and updating of prescription
- checking that the glasses are correctly centred and sit securely on the wearer
- adjustments and realignment of the frame
- minor technical maintenance and professional cleaning
- presentation of a selection of frames pre-selected to suit individual needs
- assessment of the need for laboratory procedures
This service is not a substitute for an eye examination, which remains the responsibility of a medical professional. The optician–optometrist acts within the scope of their expertise, focusing on visual wellbeing and the functionality of spectacles.
What cannot be carried out at home
Some procedures require advanced laboratory equipment or equipment that cannot be transported. In such cases, the optician carries out a technical assessment and arranges for the glasses to be collected for processing at our centres.

This service is designed for people who are unable to visit our opticians’ centres unaided for physical, family or logistical reasons. It is intended to ensure continuity of care even in difficult circumstances or where mobility is limited.
What sort of check can be carried out at home?
An optician–optometrist can carry out an optical–optometric check-up using portable instruments, check that the spectacles are correctly centred, assess visual comfort and update the prescription where necessary. This service is not a substitute for an eye examination.
Can I choose a new pair of frames from home?
Yes. Before the appointment, we select a range of frames suited to the person’s needs, so that they can make an informed choice from the comfort of their own home.
What technical work can be carried out at home?
Adjustments, frame realignment, minor maintenance and assessment of whether workshop repairs are required. For complex repairs, the glasses are collected and handled at our centres.
Does the Mini-Kasko cover also apply to those who use the home delivery service?
Yes. The Mini-Kasko cover, at no extra cost, provides cover in the event of accidental damage, theft or loss, regardless of where the assistance is provided.
