The Maui Jim company was founded in 1980 specialising in the sale of sunglasses right on the beach of Ka'anapali in Lahaina, Maui.
Seeking to counteract the intense glare and harmful UV rays while enhancing the island's brilliant colours, Mui Jim conceived the PolarizedPlus2 lenses.
From the original seven models, the company has grown to over 125 sunglass models, all polarised and 100% protective against UVA and UVB rays.
Headquartered in Lahaina, Maui, where the company still designs and tests all its sunglasses today, the colour and light (of the island) inspire every single Maui Jim creation.
