Simulation Room | Isolani

SIMULATION ROOM

The Simulation Room is a central step in the Isolani Experience: a dedicated space where lenses can be tested in real-use conditions before final production. It is a key moment for assessing comfort, clarity and visual perception, with the support of Isolani opticians and optometrists and in continuity with Behavioural Centring and the contents of our Isolani Video Podcast.

From Design to Trial: the Heart of the Isolani Experience

The Simulation Room lets you preview how lenses perform in everyday situations such as:

  • reading and computer work
  • distance and intermediate vision
  • changes in light and contrast
  • depth and three-dimensional perception

This step makes it possible to understand how a lens will behave in everyday life, supporting a more informed and personalised choice.

How the Simulation Works

The Simulation Room uses professional instruments that allow you to:

  • test sample lenses with different powers and geometries
  • try treatments such as anti-reflective, photochromic and selective filters
  • assess visual perception while moving
  • simulate progressive lens vision in real conditions

Integration with Functional Visual Assessment

The Simulation Room integrates with the functional visual assessment carried out during the tailor-made journey, completing the process that leads to a truly personalised optical solution. It also works in synergy with Behavioural Centring, which measures parameters based on real visual behaviour. The simulation helps verify lens performance and confirm the most suitable choice.

In-Centre Experience and Online Purchase

The Simulation Room is an in-person experience and one of the central moments of the Isolani Experienceâ„¢. Here we assess how lenses behave before their final production.

For those who live far away or prefer to buy online, our e-commerce still offers a guided journey: we integrate the essential prescription data, use dedicated tools such as interpupillary distance (PD) measurement and provide continuous support from our professionals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the Simulation Room if I already have an eye prescription?

Yes. The eye prescription is the starting point. The Simulation Room lets us assess how lenses behave in real life before final production.

Does the Simulation Room replace an eye examination?

No. An eye examination remains the reference for eye health. The Simulation Room evaluates comfort, clarity and visual behaviour in everyday life.

Is the optometric check-up always needed?

Only if there is no recent prescription. Otherwise, we start from the ophthalmologist's prescription.

Can I try progressive or office lenses before choosing them?

Yes. The Simulation Room allows different lens geometries, including progressive, office and other personalised solutions, to be compared in real conditions. You can try, evaluate, change and try again until the solution offers the best comfort and visual performance for your daily needs.

Important note: the Simulation Room does not replace an eye examination. Optometric assessment and lens simulation concern visual comfort and daily-life functionality. For diagnosis and eye health, the reference is always the ophthalmologist.
