Levenhuk Skyline Travel Sun 70 Telescope

The Levenhuk Skyline Travel Sun 70 is a lightweight, easy-to-use refracting telescope with excellent optical performance. The telescope is perfect for use under dark sky conditions, away from city lights, and is ideal for observing the planets of the Solar System and the surface of the Moon. In conditions of minimal light pollution and good weather, you can observe Messier objects (though details will not be visible), lunar craters up to 8 km in diameter and stars up to magnitude 11.5. Included with the telescope is a mirrored diagonal prism that produces an upright, distortion-free image, allowing for comfortable observation of terrestrial objects.

The kit includes a solar filter made from thick protective film, which will allow you to view sunspots through this excellent telescope. Extreme caution is required when observing solar activity. Always ensure that the solar filter is securely attached to the telescope tube. The filter must completely cover the aperture. Never observe the Sun or the bright areas around it through the finder scope.

An extended kit includes 67x and 20x eyepieces and a 3x Barlow lens, a solar filter and a mirrored diagonal, enabling a magnification of 200x. The telescope is fitted with a 5x24 finder scope.

The telescope is compact thanks to a 40 cm long optical tube. Even children will be able to use the altazimuth mount, which allows the telescope to be moved simply along the vertical and horizontal axes using a special handle. The telescope requires no further set-up. Simply assemble it and adjust the height of the aluminium tripod.

The telescope, mount, tripod and all optical accessories fit comfortably into the Levenhuk-branded rucksack included in the kit, so you can take it with you or head to the park on a fine day to observe the Sun.
