Levenhuk Skyline Travel Sun 50 Telescope

The Levenhuk Skyline Travel Sun 50 is a versatile telescope designed for travel and long walks. This compact refractor is ideal for beginner astronomers of all ages. It is suitable for observing the planets of the Solar System and the Moon, as well as terrestrial objects. It is fitted with a mirrored diagonal prism, which provides an upright, distortion-free image and redirects the telescope’s optical axis, making it convenient for observing objects high above the horizon.

This small refractor is also excellent for observing the Sun, and the kit includes a solar filter. Extreme caution is required when observing solar activity. Always ensure that the solar filter is securely attached to the telescope tube. The filter must completely cover the aperture. Never observe the Sun or the bright areas around it through the finder scope.

The MC-coated lenses feature an anti-reflective coating that ensures high-quality images. The kit includes 45x and 18x eyepieces with a 1.25-inch optical tube. The 3x Barlow lenses, included in the kit along with the eyepieces, allow for a magnification of 135x.

Operating an altazimuth telescope mount requires no special knowledge or skills: simply move the optical tube along the vertical and horizontal axes. Such mounts are also suitable for observing the landscape. A handy finder scope will help you navigate the sky quickly or locate a terrestrial object. This telescope is very easy to use and does not require any complicated setup. The mount is fitted to a lightweight aluminium tripod. The height of the tripod can be adjusted from 40 cm to 125 cm.
