Levenhuk Skyline BASE 80T Telescope

The Levenhuk Skyline BASE 80T is a classic refracting telescope much loved by beginner astronomers. It produces clear, detailed images of celestial objects. You’ll be able to observe lunar craters over 5 km in diameter, study the seas and polar caps on Mars, and observe the phases of Mercury, Saturn’s moons and distant Jupiter. Whilst the telescope is not powerful enough for deep-sky observations, it will allow you to observe some nebulae, bright star clusters and galaxies. The Levenhuk Skyline BASE 80T is an excellent choice as a first telescope and will help you learn the basics of astronomical observation and uncover many of the mysteries of space.

All optical elements are made of coated glass. They do not fog up over time, produce a bright, high-contrast image and, above all, deliver a detailed image even at the highest possible magnification. The kit includes two eyepieces to ensure the best possible image quality. One eyepiece is useful for studying groups of objects (for example, the moons of the planets) and the other is suitable for exploring the planets and the Moon. A mirrored diagonal prism will help you study terrestrial landscapes and correct the inverted image common in modern telescopes.

The Levenhuk Skyline BASE 80T is designed especially for beginners and is mounted on a classic altazimuth mount. This easy-to-use mount requires no special skills or knowledge. The mount is easily attached to an aluminium tripod. You can attach an accessory tray (included in the kit) to a tripod with adjustable legs.
