The Levenhuk Skyline PLUS 120S telescope is a Newtonian reflector with a spherical primary mirror 114 mm in diameter. It is suitable for observing the Moon, the planets of the Solar System, nebulae, galaxies, star clusters and many other celestial bodies. Thanks to its large aperture, it is possible to observe the bright objects in the Messier and NGC catalogues. In the nearby cosmos, this telescope allows you to observe the polar caps of Mars, weather changes on Venus, the rings of Saturn, Jupiter’s moons and even the distant Uranus and Neptune, although not in great detail.
This telescope is suitable for both beginners and more experienced astronomy enthusiasts. The telescope is fitted with an equatorial mount, which allows for quick pointing and convenient tracking of the desired objects, even during extended observations. It takes a little practice to master the use of a telescope with this mount, but this will not be an obstacle for a keen beginner. The mount is attached to a height-adjustable aluminium tripod. It also features an accessory tray.
The kit includes the accessories needed for a wide range of observations, meaning no further purchases are required. It comes with two eyepieces of different focal lengths and a Barlow lens. Using them in various combinations allows you to achieve the optimum magnification depending on the celestial object you wish to observe. The optical finder has a magnification of 6x.
