Night-time detection range: up to 300 metres
The device is fitted with glass optics featuring a silicon dioxide anti-reflective coating. This ensures sharper, clearer images in all lighting conditions, even in complete darkness. During the day, you can observe any object at distances of over three metres. At night, the detection range for this model is 300 metres. A practical feature is the ability to adjust the brightness of the built-in IR illumination. There are 7 brightness levels: the lowest level extends battery life, whilst the highest allows you to view extremely clear images. It should be noted that at night the images displayed will be in black and white, whilst during the day you can view the world in full colour.
Built-in video and photo recorder
You can record all your observations using the photo and video modes. The resolution of each frame is 1280x960 pixels. If there isn’t enough space on the memory card, you can reduce the resolution to 640x480 pixels. The frame rate of the clips is 30fps, so the videos are smooth and pleasant to watch. For a minimum level of smoothness, 24fps is sufficient. To improve video quality, you need to increase this setting on the device. Photos and videos are stored on a memory card (cards up to 32GB are supported) and everything recorded can be viewed on the device’s screen. Data can be transferred to a computer via a mini-USB cable.
Up to 10 hours’ battery life without needing to change the batteries
The binoculars feature an ergonomic, water-resistant body with a non-slip surface. They are comfortable to hold. Once gripped, the control buttons are perfectly aligned with the user’s fingers. The device is powered by standard batteries which can be found in any shop; furthermore, when out in the field, it is much easier to change a set of batteries than to have to search for a socket to recharge them. A single charge provides 4–10 hours of battery life; the exact duration depends on how intensively the IR illumination is used.
Wi-Fi control via smartphone or tablet
Wi-Fi allows you to control the device using a smartphone or tablet. The signal range is approximately 15 metres. Download and install the free ‘NV Plus’ app on your smart device via the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app will allow you to control the device via your smartphone to adjust the brightness of the illumination, capture photos and videos, and view, download and delete images.
