The Levenhuk Halo 13x digital binocular night vision device is the perfect companion for observations in total darkness. It is suitable for observing urban and natural landscapes, as well as for exploring unfamiliar areas. It proves indispensable for ensuring safety on long hikes. It is practical and can also be used for daytime observations, just like a normal pair of binoculars. This means you can take just one piece of equipment with you when travelling.
Night-time detection range: up to 300 metres
The optics are made of glass with a silicon dioxide anti-reflective coating. This allows the lenses to perform more efficiently in complete darkness, delivering sharper, high-contrast images. During the day, you can observe any object at distances greater than three metres. At night, the viewing range extends up to 300 metres. To improve visibility, switch on the infrared (IR) LED illumination, the brightness of which can be adjusted. Switch off the backlight completely to save battery power. The highest brightness setting offers optimal detail.
Built-in video and photo recorder
This device not only allows you to make observations, but also to record videos and take photos. The resolution for photos is 2048x1536 pixels. However, if necessary (to save space on the memory card), you can reduce the resolution to 640x480 pixels. Thanks to a frame rate of 30 frames per second, the videos are very smooth. Normally, 24 fps is sufficient, but the Levenhuk Halo 13x uses a higher standard to make the video more enjoyable to watch. It’s very convenient to be able to view the images immediately on the device’s screen. These binoculars support memory cards up to 32 GB. You can transfer the images to a computer via a USB cable.
Up to 10 hours of battery life without needing to change the batteries
The optical and electronic components are housed in an ergonomic, water-resistant body with a non-slip surface. The binoculars are comfortable to hold. Once gripped, the control buttons are perfectly aligned with the user’s fingers. It is an easy-to-use device and navigating its menu is truly intuitive. The binocular night vision device is powered by standard AA batteries or rechargeable AA Ni-MH batteries, which can be purchased from any shop. We recommend always keeping a spare set to hand to ensure the device does not switch off at the most inopportune moment. However, this is a rather remote possibility, as a set of standard or rechargeable batteries guarantees 4–10 hours of continuous use. Battery life depends on the intensity of the backlight.
Please note that the device can display an image in colour, black and white, fluorescent green or with a negative effect. However, the colour image is not available when night mode is active.
