Description

The Discovery Artisan 64 digital microscope is easy to use as it features a built-in LCD screen. Thanks to this feature, there is no need to connect the microscope to a PC, though it can still be used with a computer, as it is compatible with Windows and Mac OS (connection via USB cable). This microscope has a wide range of applications: repairing small components, soldering microcircuits, studying metals, sharpening blades, verifying the authenticity of old coins, restoring works of art and much more. It is fitted with top lighting, so this device can only be used to examine opaque objects.

The magnification is adjustable and ranges from 20x to 600x. Focusing is manual within a range of 5 to 80 mm. The microscope features 8 LED lights around the camera lens. The camera serves as the sole objective lens and is responsible for image reproduction. Its 0.3 MP sensor (up to 8 MP via interpolation) produces a sharp and detailed image of the samples under observation; it is possible to carry out real-time observations and, if necessary, save photos and videos to a memory card (included). The specialised software (included) allows you to measure the linear and angular dimensions of the samples.

The microscope is mounted on a professional support arm fitted with a stage featuring graduated scales and clamps. The microscope is powered by a built-in battery that can be recharged via a USB cable.

Tips for using the software:

To ensure the programme works correctly, only launch the installed application when the microscope is connected to the PC and ready for observation.

Note: Please bear in mind that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, whilst in most European countries it is 220–240 V. For information on the correct mains voltage, please refer to the specifications table. Never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V mains socket, or vice versa, without using a voltage converter.

The Discovery Artisan 64 digital microscope is not compatible with external digital cameras.
