Description

The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS microscope would make the perfect gift for a curious teenager, a biology student or a laboratory technician. This instrument’s maximum magnification is 1280x – enough to see the finest details of the samples being observed under the microscope. The model features a robust and reliable body – the Rainbow 50L PLUS microscope can be used as a home microscope, as well as for laboratory work in schools and universities.

Quality of the optical
components Three objective lenses provide magnifications of 64x, 160x and 640x. The 40x objective lens has a special spring mechanism. Whilst focusing, you might accidentally touch the specimen being observed with the objective lens. However, the spring-loaded lens will retract slightly, preventing any damage. The kit also includes 2x Barlow lenses, which double the magnification of any given objective lens. The basic kit allows you to achieve a magnification of 1280x!

The lenses are made from high-quality coated glass with a special anti-reflective treatment. The images produced will always be sharp, high-contrast and crystal-clear.

Universal LED
Illumination System The microscope is fitted with an LED light source. To observe transparent specimens such as small plant parts or tiny crustaceans, use lower illumination. Top illumination is used for opaque objects – paper fibre, coins and many other interesting items. Semi-transparent objects are best viewed using both top and bottom illumination. The adjustable brightness allows you to select the ideal amount of light for each specimen.

Ergonomic
body The microscope stands out for its modern, ergonomic design. The microscope’s robust metal body ensures a long service life. The monocular head, tilted at 45 degrees, allows for the most comfortable viewing position and prevents fatigue, even after several hours of work. Furthermore, the head rotates 360 degrees around its axis, which is particularly convenient for group work. The lighting is powered by mains electricity or batteries, should you wish to carry out research outdoors.

Warning: Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110 V device into a 220 V socket, or vice versa, without using a converter. Remember that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, and 220–240 V in most European countries.
