Levenhuk 500T Trinocular Microscope

The Levenhuk 500T is a laboratory microscope with a magnification range of 40x to 1000x. It is fitted with wide-field achromatic optics, which produce clear and sharp images. As halogen light is used to illuminate the specimen, the image appears lifelike and all the colours and details of the specimen are clear and crystal-sharp. This microscope is a real gem for use in research laboratories, medical centres or veterinary practices.

The trinocular head comprises an eyepiece and a vertical tube for mounting a digital camera (not included). The head can be rotated through 360°. The kit includes a wide-field eyepiece and four achromatic objectives with different magnifications. The sharpness of the optics can be adjusted using the fine and coarse focus knobs located on the base of the microscope. This microscope is designed for brightfield observations. The 100x objective can be used for oil-immersion observations. To protect the front lens, the 40x and 100x objectives are fitted with a spring-loaded mechanism.

A mechanical stage is fitted to the specimen table, which helps to quickly position the specimen exactly beneath the objective. Beneath the stage is a height-adjustable Abbe condenser for brightfield observation. This condenser features an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. The illumination system consists of a halogen bulb with a reflector. The powerful bulb provides uniform and intense illumination of the working area. The brightness of the light is adjustable. The microscope is powered by the mains AC supply.
