Levenhuk 500B Binocular Microscope

The Levenhuk 500B binocular microscope is ideal for laboratory analysis of stained slides containing plant or animal tissues. Thanks to the halogen light source, the entire visible colour spectrum is reproduced as accurately as possible, and the excellent contrast of the details will impress even the most demanding researchers. This microscope is a fantastic choice for biochemists, microbiologists or vets.

This model is fitted with wide-field eyepieces offering 10x magnification and achromatic objectives with magnifications of 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x. For added comfort, the binocular head is tilted at 45°; it also rotates through 360°. The optics allow samples to be examined at magnifications ranging from 40x to 1000x using the brightfield method, combined with oil immersion. Two of the objectives are fitted with front lens protection (retractable spring mechanism): the 40x and 100x objectives. Immersion oil must be used with the 100x objective.

The microscope is fitted with a stage equipped with a mechanical translator, which is useful for the precise positioning of the specimen beneath the objective. Beneath the stage is a height-adjustable Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. An optical filter can be fitted using a special holder. The powerful halogen lamp is fitted with a reflector and features brightness control. The lamp is powered by the AC mains supply.

All the optical elements of this microscope are made of glass. The body is made of metal.
