The Levenhuk MED D30T LCD is a trinocular microscope with a digital camera and built-in screen. You do not need to connect the microscope to a computer to adjust video settings, transmit images of specimens to an external device or process captured photographs and videos. You can do all of this via the camera’s screen. Furthermore, the microscope features achromatic, semi-plan, infinity-corrected optical elements and allows you to set up Kohler illumination. The Levenhuk MED D30T LCD is a professional biological microscope suitable for carrying out various laboratory tasks.
Semi-planachromatic, infinity-corrected optics
The Levenhuk MED 30 series microscopes are equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system, as used in professional and high-end microscopes. This system comprises semi-plan achromatic objectives and delivers clear, high-contrast images with excellent flatness.
The Levenhuk MED 30 series are laboratory microscopes (professional, biological) that allow for the installation of additional accessories.
One of the most important features of the infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows additional components to be fitted in the optical path between the objective lens and the eyepiece. Additional components include polarisers (all Levenhuk MED 30 microscopes are fitted with a special slot for their installation), epifluorescence illuminators and phase-contrast devices. Overall, their modular design and ease of use make the Levenhuk MED 30 microscopes ideal for use in various fields of microscopy, including work in haematology, histology, microbiology and other laboratories.
Rotating head with beam splitter
A trinocular head is divided into a viewing section and a tube for mounting a digital camera. This allows you to observe through the eyepiece whilst recording at the same time. The head rotates 360° on its axis, a feature that will be appreciated by those who frequently carry out group research. The viewing section has a tilt angle of 30°. A beam splitter is included.
Optical glass with anti-fungal coating
The eyepieces and objective lenses are made of optical glass and protected by an anti-fungal coating. The semi-plan achromatic optical elements flatten the field of view, improve colour rendering and reduce chromatic aberrations. The eyepieces provide good vision and 10x magnification. There are five objective lenses. The higher-magnification objective lenses are fitted with a protective retractable spring mechanism. A 100x objective lens supports the use of oil immersion. Focus adjustment is carried out by turning the coarse and fine focus knobs.
Digital capabilities
The digital camera does not require the installation of any additional software. You can use any camera function via the LCD screen and monitor the progress of your microscopic investigations. You can connect the camera to external displays; it is compatible with various additional accessories (headphones, memory cards and more). A 5 MP sensor produces high-quality images and allows you to take high-resolution photographs and record smooth videos at a high frame rate. The software allows you to adjust image size, brightness and contrast, exposure time and white balance, calibrate the camera and lenses, as well as measure samples and structures (various units of measurement available). A digital camera makes laboratory work easier and more convenient, as the image is viewed on the built-in LCD screen using touch controls, rather than through eyepieces, significantly reducing eye strain.
Working comfortably with microscope slides
Beneath the optical components is a stage with a mechanical scale. Beneath the stage is an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. And beneath that is an LED light with brightness control. You can also set up Kohler illumination. The light is powered by an AC power source.

Warning:
Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110 V device into a 220 V socket, or vice versa, without using a converter. Please note that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, and 220–240 V in most European countries.
