The Levenhuk MED 30B binocular microscope features professional-grade optical components and allows you to expand its basic capabilities using additional accessories (sold separately). The microscope is suitable for laboratory research using the brightfield method at magnifications ranging from 40x to 1000x. It can be used to study small and complex structures. It is excellent for use in educational, scientific, clinical and diagnostic fields and can meet the requirements of even the most demanding customer.
Semi-planachromatic optics with infinity correction
The Levenhuk MED 30 series microscopes are equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system, as found in professional and high-end microscopes. This system incorporates semi-plan objectives and delivers clear, high-contrast images with excellent flatness.
One of the most important features of the infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows additional components to be installed in the optical path between the objective lens and the eyepiece. These additional components include polarisers (all Levenhuk MED 30 microscopes are fitted with a special slot for their installation), epifluorescence illuminators and phase-contrast devices. Overall, their modular design and ease of use make the Levenhuk MED 30 microscopes ideal for use in various fields of microscopy, including work in haematology, histology, microbiology and other laboratories.
Optical Capabilities
The microscopes are fitted with a 360° rotatable binocular head. Each eyepiece has a 30° angle of inclination, which means that prolonged observations do not strain the neck muscles, allowing you to concentrate on your research.
The kit includes two 10x wide-field eyepieces with dioptre adjustment and five semi-plan achromatic objective lenses of varying magnifications. Three objective lenses have spring-loaded mounts. A 100x objective is suitable for observations using the immersion method. The optical elements of all accessories are protected by an anti-fungal coating.
Working comfortably with slides
The mechanical stage can be moved along two axes. It also features a mechanical scale for precisely positioning a specimen under an objective lens. Both macrometric and micrometric adjustments are available. Thanks to the smooth movement of the mechanism, focus adjustments can be made quickly and easily. An Abbe condenser is fitted with an iris diaphragm and a filter holder.
Adjustment of the illumination system
The dimmable illumination system includes a 3 W LED and an additional lens to enhance brightness. A Kohler illumination setting is available. The light is powered by an AC power source.

Warning:
Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110 V device into a 220 V socket, or vice versa, without using a converter. Please note that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, and 220–240 V in most European countries.
