Levenhuk MED 25B Binocular Microscope

The Levenhuk MED 25B microscope is a binocular model equipped with two condensers, one for brightfield and one for darkfield. Both condensers can be used for oil-immersion observations. The microscope is designed for professional use in the medical, microbiological, biochemical and other scientific fields. It can be used for research, diagnostics or educational purposes. This microscope allows for observations at magnifications of up to 1000x; it can be configured with Köhler illumination and enables the study of the intricate details of microscopic structures.

The trinocular head rotates through 360°. The eyepiece tube is inclined at 30° to make prolonged observations more comfortable. The kit includes wide-field eyepieces with 10x magnification. They are fitted with dioptre adjustment, so that the observer’s visual defects can be individually compensated for. The objective revolver contains four plan-achromatic objective lenses, which provide an aberration-free image; the 100x objective allows for observations using oil immersion. Two of the objectives are fitted with a protective spring mechanism. The optics of all accessories have undergone an anti-fog treatment.

Specimens are positioned on the stage using a mechanical translator. The double-layer stage can be moved along two axes. Focus adjustment is achieved by turning the two knobs for fine and coarse focus adjustment. The mechanism’s step size is very small, allowing for smooth focus adjustment. The specimens are illuminated from below by a 20 W halogen lamp. The illumination system allows for brightness adjustment. The light passes through an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm, onto which filters can be fitted (three filters are included in the kit). Furthermore, a dark-field condenser can be fitted to the microscope. This is also included in the kit and is suitable for use with oil immersion.

The lighting is powered by the AC mains supply.

Warning:

Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V socket, or vice versa, without using a transformer.
