Levenhuk 700M Monocular Microscope

Levenhuk 700M – a monocular biological microscope with a metal body, designed for the study of transparent specimens under transmitted light. This microscope can be used by students, researchers and enthusiasts; it is a valuable aid to clinical and medical research and can be used for bacterioscopy and cystoscopy. The Levenhuk 700M microscope is perfectly suited for use in a home laboratory, a school laboratory or a medical institution.

The microscope is fitted with a revolver designed to hold four objective lenses. The kit includes achromatic objectives with various magnification factors; one of these is an immersion lens. The use of immersion oil can significantly increase the brightness of the observed sample and enhance the achievable magnification levels. The two wide-field eyepieces included in the kit – a 10x eyepiece and a 20x Huygens eyepiece – are the perfect complement and allow for a wide variety of observations. The microscope’s magnification range varies from 40x to 2000x.

The monocular head is tilted at 45°, a feature of fundamental importance for prolonged observations. This position reduces strain on the neck muscles and offers optimal comfort during observation. For more practical use in a group setting, the microscope head rotates around its own axis. There is no need to rotate the entire instrument to show details of the specimens being observed to colleagues or students.

The microscope stage moves both vertically and horizontally, making it convenient to observe samples even at maximum magnification. A coordinate scale is marked on the stage to help determine the accuracy of movements along the axes. The stage is controlled manually. The focus mechanism features two types of adjustment – fine and coarse.

The illumination, with adjustable brightness, is positioned beneath the stage. An Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm helps to achieve better illumination of the specimens being observed. It directs the light precisely onto the specimen under study. The condenser features special centring screws. The illumination is mains-powered; the power cable is included.
