Description

The Levenhuk 850B binocular biological microscope is ideal for pathological anatomy, biochemical, cytological, urological, dermatological and biological research, as well as general clinical research in the laboratories of any medical institution. It allows for observations using brightfield methods.

It is also fitted with a rotating objective turret. The rotating head, which can accommodate four objectives, is inclined at 30° and rotates 360° on its own axis. The microscope is fitted with the classic Koehler illumination system, with adjustment of the field and diaphragm apertures.

The focusing mechanism is fitted with knobs for coarse and fine adjustment. Focusing accuracy is achieved through the vertical movement of the stage relative to the fixed objective, controlled by knobs. The two-axis stage can move both vertically and horizontally. The stage measures 140 × 155 mm (5.5 × 6.1 inches). The focusing mechanism and the stage move smoothly without any jerks or backlash. The increment is 25 mm for macrometric magnification and 0.002 mm (0.00008 inches) for micrometric magnification.

The microscope’s illumination system includes a 6V/20W halogen lamp with stepless brightness adjustment.

Features:

  • Magnification: 40–2000x
  • Oil immersion
  • Condenser: Abbe with iris diaphragm
  • Two-axis specimen stage
  • Macrometric and micrometric focusing
  • Halogen illumination with brightness control
  • Standard power supply

The kit includes:

  • Microscope with base
  • Binocular head
  • Mirror
  • Planachromatic objectives: 4x, 10x, 40x, 100x (oil immersion)
  • Eyepieces: dual, wide field of view WF10x, WF20x
  • Filters (blue, yellow, green)
  • Bottle of immersion oil
  • AC adaptor
  • Dust cover
  • User manual and lifetime warranty

Warning: Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110 V device into a 220 V socket, or vice versa, without using a converter. Please note that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, and 220–240 V in most European countries.

Some of the things you can observe under the microscope:

The Levenhuk 850B binocular biological microscope is compatible with Levenhuk digital cameras (sold separately). Levenhuk cameras are fitted into the eyepiece tube in place of an eyepiece.

The microscope comes with two additional accessories for connecting a digital camera: an extension tube and another extension piece. We recommend using these accessories when using short-focus objectives to achieve the best focusing results.
