Levenhuk DTX 700 Mobi Digital Microscope

The Levenhuk DTX 700 Mobi is a portable microscope that is easy to carry. Thanks to its design, it fits easily into a rucksack and is convenient to carry, even with just one hand. This microscope is extremely lightweight and can therefore be an excellent tool for a child. However, the Levenhuk DTX 700 Mobi is primarily designed to support professional work. It is useful for studying works of art, minerals, coins and metal cross-sections. It can also be used to check the quality of welds and repair electrical devices.

The image is captured by a digital camera with a 5 MP sensor. It transmits a high-resolution colour image to the built-in LCD screen. The adjustable screen can be positioned in the most comfortable direction for observation whilst working. Furthermore, the microscope can capture images and record videos (a memory card is required, to be purchased separately). There is a dedicated button on the microscope body for this purpose. If required, the Levenhuk DTX 700 Mobi can also be connected to an external monitor, a TV or a computer. All the necessary cables are included in the kit.

Before connecting the microscope to a computer, remember to install the software provided. The application gives you access to additional features, such as measuring the linear and angular distances of the objects being observed and adding text and images to the photos you take.

The microscope is designed for use with non-transparent specimens only; dimmable LED lights are used as the light source. It features a polarising filter, which helps to reduce glare and unwanted reflections when observing objects with shiny surfaces. The magnification is continuously variable within a range of 10 to 300x; a digital zoom allows a magnification of up to 1200x to be achieved. The microscope is battery-powered (providing 2.5 hours of operation) or can be powered via a mains-connected power supply.

Tip for using the software: to ensure the PortableCapture Plus programme (or other versions) works correctly, only launch the installed application when the microscope is connected to a PC and ready for observation.

Warning! The mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, whilst in most European countries it is 220–240 V. Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V socket, or vice versa, without using a transformer.

The Levenhuk DTX 700 Mobi microscope is not compatible with external digital cameras.
