Description

The Levenhuk DTX 700 LCD digital microscope is designed for examining non-transparent objects. It is suitable for working with small jewellery components, electronic circuit boards, minerals, coins and metal sections. This microscope is also useful for home use, for example, for examining insects and plants. The Levenhuk DTX 700 LCD is fitted with an LCD screen, which helps reduce eye strain during prolonged observations and is more comfortable to use than a traditional microscope eyepiece.

The image is captured by a 5 MP digital camera. The camera provides a magnification range of 10x to 300x, and an additional digital zoom allows objects to be observed at up to 1200x. The vivid, detailed image is then displayed on the built-in LCD screen. Furthermore, the built-in camera allows you to capture images and record videos. The control buttons are located below the screen. They are used to select photo and video quality, switch time-lapse mode on and off, choose the circular video mode, and set the date and time.

This microscope is completely self-contained and does not need to be connected to any other external device. To save photos and videos, you will need to use a memory card (sold separately). The microscope can also be connected to an external monitor, a TV or a computer. The kit includes the software and all the necessary cables. Note: once installed on a computer, the software allows you to measure the objects viewed (line, radius, diameter, angle between three points). The software also enables you to add images and text to photos taken by the microscope.

The microscope’s lighting system consists of 8 bright LED lights with adjustable brightness. It features a built-in polarising filter, which reduces unwanted reflections when observing metals with a polished surface.

The microscope is powered via the mains or by a built-in battery, which provides up to three hours of battery life.

Features:

  • Digital microscope with a 5 MP camera and colour LCD screen
  • Top LED illumination with brightness control
  • Integrated polarising filter
  • Capable of capturing images and videos; the image can be displayed on an external screen
  • Image processing software with measurement function
  • Powered via AC mains or built-in battery

The kit includes:

  • Microscope
  • Adapter (100–240 V, 50/60 Hz)
  • USB cable
  • AV cable
  • Calibration slide
  • Software CD
  • User manual and lifetime warranty

Tip for using the software: to ensure the PortableCapture Plus programme (or other versions) works correctly, only launch the installed application when the microscope is connected to a PC and ready for observation.

Warning! The mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, whilst in most European countries it is 220–240 V. Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V socket, or vice versa, without using a transformer.

The Levenhuk DTX 700 LCD microscope is not compatible with external digital cameras.
