The compass features a folding design, and there is a transparent window on the lid. This allows you to read the compass even when the lid is closed. The graduated dial is immersed in a special liquid, ensuring that the magnetic needle stabilises quickly and points in the correct direction. With this compass, you can determine your position in degrees. The compass is fitted with a built-in spirit level to make it easier to align the compass along the horizontal axis.

A handy sighting slot allows you to aim at distant objects and determine their position. You can read the number on the dial accurately through a special lens positioned on the body of the compass. Along the sighting slot there is a scale in mils for measuring the distance between objects. There are two scales available for reading maps: one in centimetres and one in inches. A conversion table is provided on the back of the compass.
