The Levenhuk DC65 compass is the perfect choice for travellers and camping enthusiasts. It makes it easy to find your location or find your bearings on a map. It is a liquid-filled compass, which is why its needle settles more easily than that of standard compasses. The dial features two scales: degrees and mils (a mil is one thousandth of an inch, or approximately 25.4 μm), and the cardinal points are marked with large, easily legible letters. At sunset or in the dark, you can illuminate the dial with the built-in LEDs – simply press the button on the right-hand side of the compass body.
A hole in the compass casing and a magnifying lens with a recess in it help you determine direction with great accuracy. A thumb ring next to the recess is used to hold the compass in place. The side edges of the compass are graduated with cartographic scales for use with maps.
The light is powered by a battery (not included).
