The Discovery Basics EK70 kit is specially designed for the most passionate explorers who want to learn as much as possible about the world around them and therefore need all sorts of equipment. It includes optical instruments, orienteering equipment, items for biological field research and even a notebook in which to record your most extraordinary discoveries. The kit comes with a rucksack that can easily hold all the equipment, so you can travel in comfort.

It is important to carry an optical instrument when exploring an area whilst on a trekking excursion. This set includes a small pair of roof-prism binoculars for observing birds and animals and, if necessary, finding the path.

Furthermore, it is essential that hikers and tourists carry a compass, a torch and a whistle. The compass is used to determine the best direction to take. This kit includes a classic liquid-filled model with an arrow pointing north. The head torch helps you explore dimly lit areas and find your way in complete darkness. Battery-powered, it has a practical mount that allows the beam to be angled by 45°. The whistle is essential for sending out clearly audible signals, which are particularly important in an emergency.
