It is a long-focal-length refractor with achromatic optics, allowing you to study the Moon in great detail, view the planets and observe other deep-sky objects. You don’t need to wait for sunset to use this telescope: during the day, it can be used as a high-magnification terrestrial telescope to observe urban and natural landscapes.

The equatorial mount used to point the Discovery Spark 809 EQ telescope is fitted with knobs for micrometric movement control, ensuring convenient and accurate positioning. You can easily track objects before they move out of the field of view due to their apparent motion across the sky. The optics of this achromatic refractor produce an image free from chromatic aberrations, and the anti-reflective coating ensures it is clear and crystal-sharp. You can observe the night sky at various magnifications by changing the eyepieces and combining them with the Barlow lens. A straightening eyepiece and a mirrored diagonal prism for terrestrial observations are also included.

During observations, the accessories can be placed on the tray at the centre of the tripod legs, in specially designed slots. The tripod is made of aluminium and remains stable even on the most uneven ground.
