The Discovery Spark 114 EQ is a long-focal-length reflector telescope, perfect for in-depth study of the night sky. It enables you to study distant galaxies, observe enchanting nebulae and double stars, and view various other objects from the Messier catalogue. This telescope is also suitable for initial explorations of the Solar System. It comes with a special filter for lunar observations.
The 114 mm diameter spherical mirror is the main component of the Discovery Spark 114 EQ’s optical system. Thanks to the combination of the long focal length and the anti-reflective coating on the optics, the image is clear, high-contrast and rich in well-defined detail. The equatorial mount, complete with knobs for micrometric movement control and a counterweight, allows you to point the telescope’s optical tube precisely at celestial bodies and track their movement smoothly.
The tripod is made of aluminium and remains stable even on the most uneven ground. At the centre of the three legs is an accessory tray where you can place the Barlow lens and eyepieces. All the items listed are included in the pack. If required, the telescope can be upgraded with additional accessories. The focuser, featuring a rack and pinion mechanism, has a standard 1.25” diameter, offering excellent compatibility with a range of accessories. The kit also includes an educational book – the perfect gift for anyone wishing to learn more about the objects observed through the telescope’s eyepiece.
