The Discovery Sky T76 telescope is an entry-level Newtonian reflector. The kit includes everything you need to start observing straight away. This telescope makes a fantastic gift for anyone who has just begun to take an interest in astronomy: learning how to use this instrument takes just a couple of minutes, and there’s no need to buy anything separately. An educational book about space is included in the kit. The book explains the more complex aspects of astronomy in an accessible way.

The Discovery Sky T76 telescope is ideal for observing the Moon and the planets of the Solar System along with their moons, meteor showers and comets, as well as nebulae, galaxies and star clusters. Eyepieces with different focal lengths and a Barlow lens allow you to use various magnifications for exploring space, offering an enhanced experience for amateur astronomers. A classic optical finder is provided to locate celestial objects.

The optical tube is mounted on an AZ mount. This mount features a micrometric screw on the vertical axis, allowing the telescope to be aligned accurately and smoothly. Pointing the telescope at the selected object is very easy and requires no prior knowledge. The tripod is made of aluminium and is height-adjustable. Furthermore, an accessory tray can be fitted to the tripod.

The educational book ‘Space: Empty Yet Not Empty’ is included in the kit. This useful guide explains the structure of a telescope and describes the most well-known astronomical objects. The book contains interesting facts and vivid illustrations. The book is aimed at a wide readership and will be very useful for learning the basics of astronomy.
