The Discovery Scope 3 set combines a microscope, a telescope and a pair of binoculars in a single kit. In addition to the optical instruments, the kit includes over 30 accessories and the educational book ‘Space: Not Empty’. The set has been created specifically for those who have never used this type of optical instrument before and wish to try their hand at studying various subjects. Refracting telescope with a standard-sized tripod

The telescope included in the kit is a refractor with an AZ mount. It allows you to observe the Moon, the brightest objects in the night sky and terrestrial landscapes. As the telescope is mounted on a standard-sized tripod, it can be easily adjusted to suit the user’s height. Using the telescope is not difficult at all. It can be rotated and moved up and down, left and right, just like a terrestrial telescope. For greater ease of use, the mount is fitted with a handy focus adjustment knob. The telescope also comes complete with a viewfinder, eyepieces and a mirrored diagonal. The educational book ‘Space: Empty Yet Not Empty’ offers a quick and effective way to learn new things about astronomy. This colourful guide is written in easy-to-understand language, without any complex terms. It describes how the telescope works and explains how to prepare to observe interesting objects in the night sky. The book covers the Sun, the planets of the Solar System and their moons, comets, meteors and distant stars.

Biological microscope with bottom illumination

The optical microscope with bottom illumination allows you to study any sample, such as prepared slides (the kit contains various samples and others can be purchased separately). The set enables you to study thin sample sections, which you can prepare yourself using the tools included in the kit. Furthermore, with this microscope, you can study life in a drop of water.

The microscope offers magnification settings ranging from 150x to 900x and is equipped with dual lighting. The built-in light source has a mirror on one side and an LED on the other. When there is sufficient ambient light, simply use the mirror side to save battery power. Use the LED bulb in darker rooms to avoid straining your eyes. The bulb is powered by standard batteries.

Compact binoculars for hiking

The third optical instrument in the set is a compact pair of binoculars with 4x magnification. Comfortable to hold, extremely lightweight and foldable to a very small size, they fit easily into a pocket or bag. Suitable for a wide range of activities, including nature watching and city walks. They produce excellent images in good light conditions.
