The Discovery Atto Polar microscope is designed for studying the microcosm with a variable magnification range from 40x to 1000x. You can carry out examinations using reflected and transmitted light, as well as oil immersion. This instrument will prove to be a capable aid for hobbies, university studies and even laboratory experiments. A comprehensive educational book, ‘The Invisible World’, is included in the kit.

The microscope is fitted with a 45° tilting and swivelling monocular head, which makes prolonged observations or group experiments more comfortable. When several people need to observe the same specimen, the head can be rotated as required without having to move the entire instrument.

The magnification range is from 40x to 1000x. The 10x wide-field eyepiece is fitted with a pointer. The 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x achromatic objectives are conveniently mounted on an objective revolver, making it possible to adjust the magnification quickly. The 40x and 100x objectives are fitted with a spring-loaded mechanism. In addition, there is a focus mechanism with macro and micrometric adjustment.

The microscope stage is fitted with a mechanical translator for added convenience. The Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm and filter holder is positioned beneath the stage. The illumination system consists of two parts: an upper and a lower unit, both with variable intensity. The lighting can be powered by batteries (not included) or via a mains socket (AC adaptor included).

The book *The Invisible World* is a wonderful educational text that explores microscopes and the microcosm. It includes an introduction to scientific theories and practical advice on how to carry out experiments at home. It is the perfect companion to the Discovery Atto Polar microscope.
