We are proud to present the Discovery range of optical instruments, manufactured by Levenhuk and sponsored by Discovery.
The Discovery Artisan 128 digital microscope is equipped with a built-in 3.5” LCD screen which displays the image captured by the objective lens. This image can also be transmitted to an external screen – not just a PC, but also a TV. The microscope is compatible with Windows and Mac OS devices, to which it can be connected using a USB cable. To connect the device to a TV, an AV cable is required. The microscope also allows you to take photos, record videos and take measurements (linear and angular distances, radii, diameters, etc.).
The image is captured by the Discovery Artisan 128 microscope’s digital camera, which has a resolution of 5 MP and up to 12 MP with interpolation. The magnification range varies from 20x to 500x, with manual focus between 0 and 150 mm. This microscope is ideal for working with metals, numismatics, restoration, jewellery-making and repair work. It can be used to identify manufacturing defects, digitise museum artefacts (leaves, minerals, etc.), weld and work on drawings and paintings. This model is also suitable for scientific hobbies.
The stage is fitted with two clamps and graduated scales. The microscope features built-in illumination, comprising 8 white LED lights around the camera lens. Their brightness is adjustable. The lighting and the microscope are powered by a lithium-ion battery or the mains (AC adaptor included).
Note: A memory card (not included) is required to save photos and videos. Saved data can be transferred to a computer via a USB cable.
