The Discovery Flint 8x40 is a pair of field binoculars with a classic combination: 8x magnification and 40 mm objective lenses. They are an ideal instrument for a wide range of outdoor observation activities: tracking animals, taking in the scenery, finding local hiking trails, birdwatching and much more.
The binoculars’ optical design is based on Porro prisms, made from BK-7 optical glass. The fully multi-coated glass optics enhance the contrast and brightness of the images produced, which is particularly important when observing in low-light conditions. Even at twilight or when the sky is covered by low-lying clouds, the images will still be clear and rich in detail. This optical instrument also offers a wide field of view, making it suitable for comfortably observing even fast-moving objects.
The binoculars are easily adjustable to suit each user’s needs. Focus is adjusted using the central focus wheel. Dioptre and interpupillary distance adjustment functions are available. The fold-out eyecups and a long eye relief ensure comfortable viewing even for spectacle wearers.
The binoculars’ body is made of metal and features raised side inserts that provide a more comfortable and secure grip. The standard threading allows the binoculars to be mounted on a tripod for stationary observations.
