The Discovery Elbrus 8x42 is a powerful pair of binoculars with wide-aperture lenses, ideal for field observations. These binoculars offer 8x magnification and a relatively wide field of view; they perform effectively both during the day and at twilight, and are equipped with the features needed to suit any user’s requirements. They are ideal for hunting and fishing, as well as for hiking and birdwatching.

These binoculars feature fully coated anti-reflective optics made from BK-7 glass. The objective lenses and prisms are multi-coated, ensuring bright, high-contrast images even in low light. The optical design is based on roof prisms, which makes the binoculars more compact than many models with similar features. With 8x magnification, the field of view is wide enough to observe groups of objects.

To tailor the binoculars to your individual needs, you can adjust a number of settings. Focus is controlled by a central focus wheel. The interpupillary distance can be adjusted. There is a dioptre correction ring on the right-hand eyepiece; the eyecups are retractable with a twist-up mechanism. These features make the binoculars comfortable for all users.

The plastic body is fitted with a standard thread for mounting the binoculars on a 1/4” tripod.
