This compact refracting telescope is perfect for first experiences of outer space, for day trips and even for basic astrophotography. The fascinating educational book *Space. Empty Yet Not Empty’ contains all the basic theories you need to know to observe the stars. This instrument is perfect for observing the Moon, planets and Earth. The brightest deep-sky objects, such as nebulae and distant galaxies, are easily visible. The best telescope in the range: maximum magnification reaches 160x.

The Discovery Sky Trip ST80 is easy to use, as the telescope tube is mounted on a simple altazimuth mount that allows movement along the azimuth and altitude axes. The telescope comes with a range of optical accessories: a Barlow lens, various eyepieces, a finder scope and a prismatic diagonal. A smartphone adapter is included, allowing you to take photos and record videos. You’ll be able to explore the potential of your first telescope by adjusting the settings to observe different celestial bodies, then record your findings and share them with your friends. A small built-in compass makes it easier to orientate yourself on the ground.

The advantage of this telescope is its compact optical tube. Compared to most other refractors, its optical tube is half the length. What’s more, the telescope is quick and easy to set up. This makes it ideal for road trips, weekends in the countryside and astrophotography festivals out of town. The telescope and its accessories can be stored in a handy bag for safe transport.
