Optics
All the elements in these binoculars are made from extra-low-dispersion coated glass, which reduces optical aberrations, eliminates glare and improves image contrast and brightness across the entire field of view. The optical design utilises compact roof prisms, multi-element eyepieces and objective lenses. The eyepiece utilises five separate lenses, which significantly enhance image sharpness. The Levenhuk Monaco ED 10x42 offers 10x magnification and delivers a perfect image on both sunny days and in low-light conditions.
Body material
The plastic binocular body is resistant to temperature changes and mechanical impact. It withstands knocks and jolts with ease and is resistant to dust and moisture. The optical elements are securely protected from sand, mud, rain or snow. These binoculars can withstand brief periods of submersion (up to three minutes) in water no deeper than 1.5 m (5 feet). Their interior is filled with nitrogen, which prevents fogging. They are fitted with a non-slip coating to ensure a secure grip.
Additional features
The Levenhuk Monaco ED 10x42 binoculars can be mounted on a tripod (sold separately). Basic adjustment features are also available: interpupillary distance adjustment, dioptre adjustment on the right eyepiece and easy focusing. Equipped with swivelling eyecups for observers wearing spectacles. The eye relief is sufficient for this type of observation.
