The Levenhuk Ra ER20 WA 14.5 mm is a wide-angle eyepiece with a field of view of 68°, ideal for both large-aperture telescopes and less powerful telescopes designed for terrestrial observations. It is particularly well-suited to observing bright, extended deep-sky objects, such as galaxies and nebulae. Furthermore, using this eyepiece makes it possible to make out some details within open clusters.
One of its advantages is the high image quality. The fully-coated, multi-element optics are made of glass. The eye relief allows the entire field of view to be observed. Optical distortions are minimised, particularly at the centre of the image. This eyepiece can be used with a 2x Barlow lens without compromising image quality.
The eyepiece body is made of aluminium. The barrel measures 1.25” in diameter. For greater comfort during observations, this eyepiece is fitted with a rubber eyecup with a twist-up adjustment. Simply fold it back to observe in maximum comfort, even whilst wearing spectacles.
