Levenhuk F2 ‘Moon and Mars’ Filter Set

The Levenhuk F2 ‘Moon and Mars’ filter set comprises two eyepiece filters for a telescope. One is designed for studying the lunar surface, whilst the other is suitable for observing Mars and other planets in the Solar System. Optical filters enhance image contrast, allowing for more detailed observations of astronomical objects. Thanks to their special threading, the various Levenhuk filters can be combined with one another. The barrel diameter of both filters is 1.25”.

Levenhuk #25 1.25” Optical Filter (red)
This filter enhances image contrast and is recommended for observations of Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. It is characterised by low light transmission, so it can only be used effectively on telescopes with apertures of 150 mm and above. With this filter, you will be able to see the polar caps, dust clouds and seas of Mars in detail, as well as the blue clouds of Jupiter and Saturn.

Levenhuk 1.25”
Lunar Filter This is a classic filter for observing the Moon. It reduces the Moon’s brightness, allowing you to explore the lunar surface in greater detail. Your eyes won’t become strained, even during prolonged observation sessions. This filter should be used when more than 80 per cent of the Moon is visible, and is always necessary when observing the full Moon. It is effective on telescopes of any aperture.
