The Levenhuk M500 BASE digital camera is the advanced model in the Levenhuk M BASE series, featuring a 5-megapixel sensor. You’ll be able to capture high-quality images with a resolution of up to 2592x1944 pixels, record videos and stream them to a large screen. This camera can be used in conferences or in the classroom, for studying at home and for work.
The camera can be fitted to a biological microscope of any make. In its basic configuration, it can be used with an eyepiece tube 23.2 mm in diameter. With an adapter, it is compatible with microscopes of other diameters. The camera is used in place of an eyepiece and, once connected to a computer, the image is displayed on the screen in real time.
You can use the camera as a digital eyepiece, capture interesting moments during research, or record videos. Choose the appropriate mode using the special Levenhuk software included in the kit.
The kit includes a CD with special software that allows you to edit previously saved images, zoom in, crop them, adjust the contrast, etc.
To ensure the best possible performance from your new camera, please ensure that your computer meets the system requirements specified by the manufacturer. Compatible operating systems include Mac, Linux and Windows. A USB 2.0 port is required to establish a connection. If the software does not work on your computer, please contact us and specify your operating system and its version (for Linux: platform and kernel version).
The latest version of the Levenhuk software for Windows supports eight languages: English, French, German, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Turkish.
The Levenhuk digital camera is compatible with microscopes fitted with an optical tube with a diameter of 23.2 mm. Furthermore, the camera can be mounted on optical tubes of other diameters using adaptors (not included in the kit).
