The Levenhuk Nelson 8x30 marine binoculars are a modern model with high-quality optics, designed primarily for use near bodies of water. An excellent choice for anglers, owners of small boats and yachts, and sports enthusiasts. These binoculars offer 8x magnification and are ideal for observing distant objects. The close-focusing distance is just three metres, allowing you to get close to the shore and study the coastline without leaving your boat.
The binoculars’ design utilises classic Porro prisms. The classic lenses are made from BaK-4 glass. The lenses have undergone an FC treatment with multiple layers of anti-reflective coating to provide a rich, clear image.
The robust, textured body is made of plastic. The rubber armouring protects these binoculars from accidental knocks and provides a comfortable grip. The nitrogen-filled body prevents the lenses from misting up. The Levenhuk Nelson 8x30 marine binoculars feature a waterproof and buoyant body: should they accidentally fall into the water, they will not sink and the prisms and lenses will remain undamaged. If you add a brightly coloured Levenhuk FS10 shoulder strap to these binoculars, you’ll never lose them!
The upward-tilting eyecups are particularly comfortable for those who wear spectacles. The interpupillary distance can be easily adjusted by moving the binoculars’ optical tubes closer together or further apart until a single circular field of view is visible. Dioptre adjustment for the eyepieces is also available. Each optical tube of the binoculars has individual focusing, so there is no central focusing wheel. The body of the binoculars features a special tripod mount.
The binoculars’ body features a built-in compass and rangefinder. The rangefinder scale can be viewed through the eyepieces. The compass indicates the direction towards the object. The division value is 1°. North is at 360°, south is at 180°, east is at 90° and west is at 270°. The compass has a battery-powered backlight.
The rangefinder is used to calculate the size (height) of the observed object or the distance to it. It is possible to calculate an unknown parameter based on the rangefinder’s readings, using a special formula.
